Festive chocolate orange ganache pots (gluten free)

This dessert is super easy but packs a flavour punch.

And does anything say Christmas is more than chocolate and orange?

For me, it conjures up lovely memories of eating whole chocolate oranges on Christmas day.

I had one every year when I was little – I can still remember the excitement and taste of it now.

These lovely ganache pots are creamy, deeply chocolatey with a lovely orange flavour.

They’re quick to make and perfect for making ahead for dinner parties, etc.

I really hope you enjoy, much love Niki xx

Ingredients

For the choc pots

  • 250 ml coconut cream
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp orange essence
  • 100 g bar vegan chocolate
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao

For the orange syrup

  • 150 ml orange juice
  • 2 tbsp coconut/brown sugar

Instructions

  • Break up the chocolate and add to a large bowl.
  • Heat the coconut cream, coconut oil, maple syrup & orange extract in a saucepan until just before boiling. Stirring constantly.
  • Pour the mix over the chocolate and leave for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to melt.
  • Fold in the raw cacao and stir gently so that everything is combined.
  • Spoon the mix into glasses or espresso cups, then pop in the fridge to firm up–around 4hrs or overnight.

To make the orange syrup

  • Add the orange juice and coconut sugar to a pan, heat gently until the sugar dissolves, and the juice thickens. Set aside to cool.
  • Top the choc pots with the orange syrup.

Hello! This looks lovely. But… When you saw Raw Cacao do you mean powder or nibs? Thanks!

  • Have not tried this yet, but it looks like something I could probably manage! I am definitely a true chocolate lover so I will get around to making it one of these days. Photos look great. Thanks for the recipe and Happy Holidays.
