The other week I was sent a box of vegan delights from a brand new premium delivery service called EatFirst. I received: Vegetable Udon Noodles, Teriyaki Tofu, Edamame and the most delicious juices. The team at EatFirst asked me to give an honest review so here’s what I think. There are lots of food delivery services these days, so what makes EatFirst different? EatFirst is aimed at discerning foodies looking for healthy alternatives to takeaways, offering restaurant quality ready meals for delivery anywhere in the UK Sound good? I thought so too. EatFirst was created by Chef Benn Hodges (who has an impressive Michelin Star restaurant background) as an antidote to the mass-produced meals on offer to time-poor foodies looking for high quality wholesome meals at home or work (sounds like me!) The food is cooked using high-end cooking techniques, with ethically sourced fresh ingredients, with no additives. Each dish is hand finished and packed into eco-friendly boxes to create healthy and fresh guilt-free meals. The thing that stands out most is the freshness. The vegan dish I tried was given 4 stars in The Times last week. The meals and ingredients are all impeccably sourced and they come with easy to follow instructions. I don’t have a microwave (4 minutes) so they went in the oven (8 minutes).
A combination of barbecued vegetables with thick udon noodles, crunchy mooli, edamame and pickles.
I found it delicious, they only thing I was missing was an element of crunch for texture.
The great thing is that the tofu is locally sourced in London and made from GM-free soy beans.
Again this dish cooked perfectly, with gooey sushi rice and a generous portion of tasty tofu.
I absolutely loved the pickled radish, a great addition.
I’ve got to mention the juices because I absolutely loved them, such unique and fresh combinations packed with fruit, veg and extras.
● Easy to prepare at home with simple 4-minute microwave or oven reheating
● No additives, preservatives and served in 98% compostable packaging

Sounds amazing honestly! I wouldn’t mind every now and then a veg treat to do not cook!
