What’s the difference between a spiced lentil soup and a dhal? Hmmm…A little more water? 😉
My spiced lentil and tomato soup is packed full of gorgeous spices, lots of tomatoes and nourishing lentils with a lovely soupy consistentcy – but with all amazing flavour of my favourite dhal.
I remember the first time I tasted dhal, I was in sixth form and it was also my first balti experience – yes living in the UK in the Midlands meant that I was lucky enough to start my Indian food journey in a very delicious way.
Of course it wasn’t long after that I went to India for the fist time and my mind was blown with all the incredible food vegetarian delights!
My deliciously nourishing soup is seriously tasty with flatbreads and dips. I like to make a big batch and portion it up for delicious and healthy lunches.
