You’ve got to love a green smoothie! This is one of my favourites; delicious banana, spinach and matcha – really creamy and packed with green goodness. I love using energising and antioxidant filled matcha powder to boost my smoothies nutritional value and I always feel good if I’ve eaten some greens at breakfast.
You can of course just blend the ingredients, pour into a glass and drink but I really love smoothie bowls as you can add lots of extra toppings and it feels more substantial in a bowl- probably just me?
I topped this smoothie with a few berries, my favourite crunchy buckwheat grouts, chopped nuts and chia & pumpkin seeds as I’m making a conscious effort to increase my omega 3 intake. I love sprinkling chia and flax seeds on my breakfast and on salads as a healthy addition.
You might like to squeeze a little lime over the top for extra zing.
