Acai Bowl with Blueberries and Granola

I can’t actually believe I have created a delicious Acai bowl at home!

My love for Acai bowls stems from my trip to Brazil with my dear friend Lisa, where we became totally addicted to them (we had one everyday without fail).

You can get some amazing combinations over there, for example with ginseng and gaurana for a natural energy boost or topped with granola and fruit for breakfast  We actually credit Acai with keeping us healthy on our holiday despite a less than healthy diet and less exercise than usual – not to mention floods, storms and other natural and unnatural disasters!

Here are a few pics to give you an indication of the level of our Acai bowl addiction!

Acai in Brazil

My friend Lisa with the huge Acai bowl

Anyway back to Acai, in case you don’t know its an Amazonian superfood, packed full of goodness and tastes delicious!

They use frozen Acai berries in Brazil but I have recreated this Acai bowl using a base of frozen bananas, blueberries and Organic Burst Acai Capsules.

I love this recipe so much, is super easy, tastes amazing and full of fruit goodness.
